Bob Deal, President -Waterland Properties

Mr. Deal became a licensed real estate broker in the state of Michigan in 1973. At the time he was involved with a major commercial/industrial firm located in Southeast Michigan. Mr. Deal specializes in industrial and office markets but is involved in all areas of commercial and industrial real estate. For 10 years Mr. Deal was an Associate Broker for Grubb & Ellis|Paramount in both Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo. Mr. Deal specialized as an Advisor in the industrial sector, as well as serving as the manager of the Kalamazoo office.

At present, Mr. Deal is the President of Waterland Properties, LLC, which owns and operates several redeveloped multi-tenant buildings. There are three redevelopment projects in various stages of completion that are currently in the planning/due diligence stage.

Waterland Properties is also acting as the leasing agent for the redevelopment of the Columbia Plaza, a multi-tenant 5 story office building in downtown Kalamazoo.

Completed notable transactions would include several buildings in the Business, Technology and Research Park on the campus of Western Michigan University, as well as assignments involving both Stryker and Kellogg. Also, he has helped redevelop several larger buildings in Battle Creek and Kalamazoo. More on these transactions can be read on the Previous Transactions page of this website. As a Broker Mr. Deal has also handled plant and property dispositions in Grand Rapids, Coldwater, Marshall, Battle Creek and Kalamazoo over the last several years.

Brandon Reinkensmeyer
Corporate Sales Advisor - Waterland Properties

Mr. Reinkensmeyer started his commercial real estate career as an intern at Grubb & Ellis|Paramount in Kalamazoo working directly for Bob Deal in the fall of 2004. He attained his Michigan Realtors License shortly thereafter. Several months later he became an Associate Advisor for Mr. Deal and continued in that role until graduating from Western Michigan University in 2006.

At present, Brandon is a Corporate Sales Advisor for Waterland Properties, LLC, which owns and operates several redeveloped multi-tenant buildings. There are three redevelopment projects in various stages of completion that are currently in the planning/due diligence stage. Waterland properties also handles third party brokerage for its clients, and is presently representing them on several current projects. Brandon specializes in analyzing commercial properties and in helping to prepare them for sale.

In addition, Brandon is the Director of Marketing for Campus Village Communities, a privately owned Midwest real estate development company. Campus Village specializes in multi-tenant student housing complexes at major universities and private colleges and currently has assets valued in excess of $125 million. His responsibilities also include commercial property management and working with senior level management on special projects.

Joshua Heiple
Commercial Real Estate Sales

Josh started his commercial real estate career in the fall of 2007 working for Bob Deal at Waterland Properties as a Corporate Sales Advisor. Josh will work in all areas of commercial real estate, with an emphasis on investment and industrial properties. Josh is presently representing the following buildings: Commerce Pointe, an office building in downtown Battle Creek, Mi, the redevelopment and retenanting of Columbia Plaza in downtown Kalamazoo, MI, and several industrial buildings in Fort Custer Industrial Park in Battle Creek, MI.

Josh came to Waterland after a career as a Professional Golfer. Josh played events on the PGA, Nationwide, Tight Lies and Hooters Tours. Josh also taught golf at Norm's Golf Center and Klinger Lake Country Club. Josh married the former Brooke Harris and they presently reside in Richland, Mi.

Lindsey Richardson Administrative Assistant Lindsey began working for Waterland Properties as an intern through Kalamazoo Valley Community College. After graduating in December of 2007, she obtained an Associates Degree as an Administrative Assistant, a Certificate as a Legal Office Assistant, and a Certificate as an Office Support Specialist. She is also Dale Carnegie Certified. She is well experienced with Microsoft Office 2003 and 2007.
